20”x16”x3” depth oil on canvas. 2020 This piece is dedicated to George Floyd whose life was ended by police brutality. It is both a celebration of George Floyd's life and a condemnation of the systemic racism that still needs to be rooted out of our society. It is my visual way of bringing attention to the Black Lives Matter movement. This piece is one of the first to emerge from my BLM series. It is painted with a palette knife and heavy duty acrylics to keep it ambiguous and abstract.
